Yuna Bert received her formal education in Art Academy of Latvia (1998-2003) then continued her art studies in Central Saint Martins Art College in London in 2012. Her artwork is included in private collections and has been used commercially by the clients. 

She currently resides in the south of France. 

 

Radiant and colourful, Yuna Bert’s art work offers a mixture of traditional materials and modern techniques, focusing on volume and depth. Her portraits and still life – between idealism and realism – cause viewers to feel successively tense or calm. This is just one of many examples of the multiple tensions which structures Yuna Bert’s art work and weaves rich and fertile connections with her own life. 

 

Experimenting widely with figurative painting, Yuna Bert encourages the viewer to continue the narrative in abeyance in her paintings. With subtle evocations of lost impressions, they allow a great freedom of interpretation, stimulate the viewer’s imagination and give an undeniable fascination. Without satirical intent, Yuna Bert’s artworks invite the viewer to take a fresh look at things. They question the world and mankind, but refrain from any critical judgment.
